Two Simple Design Secrets That Keep Your Tea Warm Longer

Two basic physical principles are exploited in the design of innovative beverage glasses manufactured by a renowned Danish glass maker. To start, glass that combines silica and boron is used, making the cup much more resistant to fracturing when exposed to hot water. Then this specialty glass is individually mouth-blown by artisans into a double-walled cup resulting in a highly insulated vessel that keeps hot drinks hot without burning your fingers, and cold drinks chilled without slippery wet condensation.

These are the creative secrets used by Denmark’s Bodum, one of the best double-wall glass makers in the world today. We particularly like the Bodum Pavina model for its attractive proportioned and almost sensual feel (comes as a set of two 12 oz. glasses) and the larger and taller Bodum Canteen (set of two; 13 oz.).

Good choices. I have the Pavina and LOVE LOVE … L O V E it. ‘Sensual” is a real good description. It’s also a bit roundish which feels real nice when clasping with both hands.

What a coincidence. These two glasses are our family favorites, too. I got myself the Pavina but my wife uses the Canteen. She likes it because it is tall and has room for lots of froth when she makes herself a chai latte or matcha latte.

These exact two are our personal choices as well, and for very similar reasons, too.

Pavina is my favorite cup for sipping my morning tea. Am going to order the Canteen now. It just looks like a thing of beauty to me.
